Annual RAAD Art Contest!
Help us celebrate Read Across America Day and win your own custom-made skateboard designed by you!
Our annual RAAD skateboard art contest is back! Once again 4 middle school and 4 high school students will win their own custom skateboard featuring their reading-inspired artwork.
If you are a middle or high school student in Blount or Knox counties you are eligible to enter. You can download the entry form and skate board template below or ask your art teacher how to enter.
All entries must be received by January 13, 2012 with the winners presented with their skateboards on Read Across America Day which is March 2, 2012.

Rules
- 1 entry per person
- All entries must be received no later than 11:59pm on January 13, 2012
- All students currently enrolled in grades six through twelve in any school (public, private, or homeschool) within Blount and Knox Counties are eligible to enter
- Only entry forms that are filled out completely will be considered eligible
- Designs must be accompanied by a completed entry form
- Entries may be submitted online, in person, or via mail
- All designs must use the design template given (copies of the template are acceptable)
- Artists must adhere to copyright laws. Please be sure that your work is original. Do not use direct copies of any other artwork. Sylvan Learning Center is not liable for any copyright infringements
- Upon submitting your design, you agree to allow Sylvan Learning Center to publicly display your submission without compensation
- DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME OR OTHER IDENTIFYING MARKS ON YOUR DESIGN. The artwork will be judged in a “blind” format. Pieces will be identified only by a number that corresponds to the entry form of the artist. This format prevents personal bias
- Four winners in both the Middle School and High School categories will each receive a custom skateboard complete with his/her artwork
